Can you install the bed rug without taking your tonneau cover off?

yes, but it's easier w/o any obstructions
couple of quick tips as I did it this weekend
on the big cleats, you just need to line up 2 holes and the other are easier to punch
that ol adage about measure 2x and cut 1x holds true, the indentations for the lights don't line up for me once you start clamping down the cleats, I cut 1 w/o seeing where it lies, now I have a carpet patch , 2nd side I did much better and even cut around the light switch, so it stands out.
use a new 1-sided razor and it cuts the carpet easily, don't grab and press your skin on the sharp side when your wife comes out and gives you the 1 hr job needs to end warning like I did.
i'll try and get some pics of the good side tonight, lol

I made the mistake of assuming that the imprinted patterns on the rug for bed light cut-outs would match the truck bed perfectly. WRONG! The imprints were merely a suggestion - about 2" off center in my case.

When you get to the lights give yourself a little rom to work. Don't Velcro down to close to the light so you can cut some out flip the bedrug out and see how close you are to the edge. I worked from the center of the light to the outside edge of the light. it is hard to get the rug to fit tight to bed around the light because there is no Velcro on the rug around the light. I used some double sided carpet tape around the light and it helped. I didn't cut out the switch just used a small piece of the Velcro and put on there for now, I might outline around that with a black sharpie. When you get to the lights just take your time and finish it up later if needed the bedrug is stuck down good by the time you get that far. A icepick works great for the boxlink and anchors and good sharp razor blades.

I just cut the hole for the switch the same size as the metal opening, looks factory done.then snapped in the switch that'll hold down the carpet, same w the lights.
