Default Bedrug install - led lights

Repairing to install my bedrug. Any thoughts on a clean way to install with the LED lights and light control in the bed?

Worried about an unsteady hand and razor blade to get an even cut....

Anyone had success with this?

I was mostly worried about the position of the indents but it all worked. You can be more careful if you make a wood template and cut using that, but a lot of extra work for the result. I thought replacing the boxlink and tiedowns were going to be a pain, but turns out the screws are kind of self-tapping. Place them over the holes and start to screw in with a power drill/screwdriver and they go right through the bedrug and into the holes. Easy! Finished result is very impressive.

Actually - bought my bedrug from auto customs. But saw a YouTube video that showed the bedrug "sport liner" with the ford logo instead of bedrug logo. Called Fairway Ford in Ohio ( sells a bunch on eBay ) and he is ordering one for me. They are available now. 400.00 shipped. Call them - great folks. I think the OEM version was about 50 more. Cancelled my auto customs order....

Default Bedrug install

I ordered from the Bedrug Site on Jan 23rd. They said the 6.5' version wouldn't be released until the next week. I received it on Jan 30th.

That looks awesome! I ordered mine yesterday from a forum vendor truck alterations. Great price, free shipping, quick and responsive, and a very pleasant gentlemen to deal with. Hopefully it will be here soon as I am picking my truck up today.

I have had one for 7 years on my 250 and have loved it! Enjoy and it looks great!

Looks great. Nice install! Did you install the BAK cover after the rug? If not, was the install still easy?

Well Done!

Yes, did the Bedrug first. It was a little easier that way but I think you could still do the Bedrug after without too much of a problem. Would be easier to hide the drain tubes if you did the cover first.
