Bad Rust/Corrosion

I hope they will just buy this one back. I looked a long time for this specific setup though. 3.5 ecoboost, 3.55 rear, FX4 package, cloth seats with console (column shifter though), 302A, 36 gallon tank and of course blue flame metallic. It was somewhat hard to find all of this, especially with the column shift. I really like the extra storage space in the console where the shifter normally is.

It was built in February 2015. Hopefully someone at Ford sees this differently. The service and general manager of the dealership had never seen it like this before either. I park the truck in the garage and/or on the driveway. This was a dealer trade and I'm not sure if the truck was parked on the grass or on the lot from the original dealer.
Every single truck here in Maine looks like that underneath after a winter unless the owner is meticulous about undercoating and washing underneath. It wouldn't be even slightly out of the ordinary for us.
I work in service and see the bottom of new trucks daily.
You might get Ford or your dealer to clean it up and undercoat it if you are persistent and lucky. It might be different down south, differing expectations and all. For us rust like that is just the way it is.
I would be amazed if Ford bough it back for that. Maybe your dealer would take it back in trade though, never know.

It was probably driven some in the salt or hit salt in shipping during winter and was parked with the salt still on it maybe on grass.

I would say this is out of the ordinary for us in the South. The truck had less than 500 miles on it when I got it. This means it had VERY little miles on it when it was driven from Arkansas to Oklahoma last month. There's no way that after 6 months anywhere in the US that a bolt should look like this and parts of it flake off when you touch it. I had a 2012 that I traded in and it didn't look like this. Maybe the odometer was reset by the dealership who traded it to my Oklahoma dealer? If the corrosion is this bad now, what will it look like in 4 years?

FYI, last time I had a speedo replaced (1990 something), the 0 at the end was red vs the stock black lettering, so anyone that looked at it would know it had been replaced. Not sure if Ford is doing the same now days.

That is incredible. Even your aluminum components underneath are corroded. I have a 5 year old f150 bathed in salt every year from December to April, and it doesn't look anywhere close to being that bad. It must have been exposed to some kind of chemical somewhere.
Did you ever find out what happened to the truck before pick up? Good luck, and sorry to see you having to go through that.

odomoters are digital now. No more spinning dials with printed numbers on them.
