Default Bad Rust/Corrosion

Had my truck on a lift this morning and took some pics. Took the truck to the dealership and they are having a Ford Rep come look at it. I bought the truck new on 7/20/2015. It was built in Kansas City. The Service Manager said that he has never seen anything like this on a new truck.

I have some visible surface rust on the rear differential housing, but nothing like what you've shown here.

Wow.

Wow, that's really ulgy! Ford needs to have better quality control before they send something out.

Looks like your truck had a bath with some bath salts... Do you have a sprayed in bed liner? Isn't that done in a salt mine down in Kansas City?

Holy crap. Did they spray acid on it or something?

When was it built? What is/was it parked on?

That looks normal for a few month old truck that has been parked on grass or dirt. They also look like that after 1 winter.

There are spots on the frame where rust has already started. I don't expect the underside of the truck to look good or anywhere near perfect, but this truck will likely have some big issues in the future. I touched the corrosion on one of the bolts and part of the bolt flaked off!
