Bad bad door latches
#21
My front drivers side would not open this morning but all the other doors did . So I opened rear drivers side and got it opened with the handle . worked fine after work. Called two dealers and both said they have not had any trucks come in for this problem . Really don't want to take truck to dealer to have them scratch or brake something else. I think ford needs to redesign key fob , I can't leave in my pocket without it unlocking doors or honking horn

07Shelby...if your door did not open or latch...get it fixed Now...it won't get better. Just tell the service manger when you drop it off. Any scratches or greasy finger prints your in big trouble. My dealer said they had not heard of the problem either.(ya right).

After morning number two driving truck to work holding door closed, I drove dealership mid morning... They treated me like I was a crazy person that was making it up... They didn't give a ****... Said the soonest they could look at it was the 19th!!! Wtf.... Thanks for caring.... That's gonna be an awesome 13 days of holding my door closed every morning... Forecast shows warmer temps coming next few days, so hopefully will be ok... I realize problems happen... But really? We can't squeeze you in the 13 days!! And I also realize dealerships get busy... Can you at least give the warm and cozy feeling you care?? Makes me really want to give that dealership business... Calling around to other dealers for a sooner appointment... My 1991 ranger I had when I was 16 didn't have this problem... Don't get me wrong, I love this f150 but geez, work with me here... Thanks for the tip on locking door plunger and then shutting... Hopefully this will work for a bit.. Didn't someone say there was a service bulletin on this??

I'm calmed down... Lol... I was pissed in the moment... I didn't even call them... Gonna just call another dealer... Nobody's perfect, but a little compassion would go a long way... Drive your $40k truck to work with you door open a few days in a row and tell me your not a little jumpy... Lol

My August 2015 built did it this morning. Told dealership i want all four doors re-lubed again (hopefully with the correct lube). Im taking it in on Monday. BTW, when i called in today the service guy told me they have another truck in the dealer for the same reason. First time it has gotten below freezing here and they are showing up at the dealer with the problem. That tells you a lot about how well they took care of the problem after the tsb came out
