Yesterday while running some errands my backup camera went wacko. Was fine the first couple stops, but leaving Menards I noticed it looked weird. I've called to get it in but they are full until after thanksgiving. I've unplugged the connectors in the back and plugged them back in and still doing it. Anybody seen something like this before? It's not the screen, the rest of it is fine, just the backup video. I've had the truck (15 XLT, 3.5 eco, 302a, SCrew) for 2 1/2 weeks and already had to replace the battery.
I have not had that issue yet. But I am glad to see that your's is just as "grainy" as mine. I know this is not a BMW, but the picture quality sucks. I thought for a while there might still be some protective plastic on the lense..
The funky colors are due to your red tail lights and white backup lights reflecting off your garage door in very close proximity. All that feedback is going right back into the camera. Open your garage door and it will look better. Mine looks exactly like that in a dark setting such as that, but it looks fine outside in natural light. The camera does not do well in low light.
No it was doing that outside too, I just didn't take a picture of it until I was in the garage. Here it is with the door open. There is no snow in the pic, the blue yard should be green/brown, which makes me think the green of the RGB is not making to the screen.

I noticed on mine that the camera quality isn't that great. My last truck was a 2013 Ram1500 and the camera quality was way better. A small thing I know, but I was kind of excited about the "technology package" , and I was kind of let down when I actually seen it lol
