Just picked up a Lariat CC and it runs almost as good as my 5* tuned 13 Lariat CC(same gears). This thing is tuned much better from the factory and 5* confirms this on their website. Is there a great improvement over stock on the 87pt 5* tune over stock or should I leave this one stock?

well I can't speak for the 87 but I am running the 93 performance tune from them and I can tell a good bit of increase over stock.

87pt gave a noticeable gain on my 2.7LEB. I imagine it would be just as noticeable on the 3.5LEB.

Yes I got there 87 perf/tow 91perf/tow 91 perf. Love it. Truck feels like a different truck man.

Does the truck once tuned, change when you're in sport mode?

Yes. I have the 3.5 running the 93 performance/tow and it's amazing what the tune and a drop in air filter did for the truck. I'm getting 18+ on the highway with a 6 inch lift and 35 toyo mts. Gas millage went up about 3 for me both city and highway so that alone was worth it. I can't imagine you will be disappointed. And yes sport mode still works which is cool because you can get a well mannered tune and a sport mode with aggressive shifts. Very happy with mine
