In talking to them today, they should have an install video up shortly. They state that instal has been simplified and no splicing is required

this is my plan, I don't care if I have to tap into a couple harnesses to get this completed. whatever I end up doing i will end up posting some steps.

I couldn't wait and just placed the order...I will also follow up with my experience once I receive the kit. I also just asked F150LEDs if the way they recommend wiring it if it would dim on/off with the interior lights - will let you guys know what i hear

I'd be interested in knowing if this could be made to work with the Sync 3 Ambient Lighting settings on the touch screen. I am with you. Want to act just like the dome light. I have read the Violet wire with a gray strip is the one to tap into, Just have not had the time to go looking for it yet.

while you could turn this feature on, I don't know if you would be able to get it to work. would need to track down where the wire harness would supply its outputs. I have a feeling that the stock unit has an additional module. I would love to be able to have it working that way.... hrmm has me thinking now.
