Anyone changed the rear to add a true limited slip diff? '16 2wd Screw 5.0
Getting my '16 Screw 2wd 5.0 in about a week....going to be adding some power right off the bat but was pretty dismayed about the open diff. Looking to add a limited slip and wanted to hear any experiences from others. Thanks!

Put a Detroit Truetrac in it. Its a gear-on-gear unit with no paper clutches to wear out.

What rear axle do the 16's have. I was working under the assumption that it was still the 8.8 or 9.75 depending on powertrain options. My bad.

I've heard some folks on here mention that the 8.8 for the 2015+ trucks might be different, but I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere.
I emailed Eaton a couple months ago asking if the 2015+ trucks could use the same Truetrac's but never received a response. I don't own an F150 yet so it's not a big deal to me yet, but it might be worth calling them and trying to talk to a real person.

Mr. Pickles
Does this matter if it's equipped with a E-locker?
How good of a nanny is the traction control?
I still haven't received delivery of my truck yet, that's why I am asking.

E-locker disengages above 25 MPH (I think, might be 35, can someone confirm) so if you want a limited slip for higher speed scenarios such as driving in the sand it'll be helpful. However, the traction control works very well as a pseudo limited slip. At least it works well enough for me to not want to spend money on a limited slip.
