Sounds like a good plan...

I had to replace one of my boards anyway because the first one they sent me had a board damaged. They sent me another whole kit to replace the board and then UPS came and picked it back up.

I just installed the LED lights that came with it today. I was at my uncle's place so I could use his tools to modify the crash bars (slight rub) and he asked about the boards because he was interested in getting a set for his F250. So I told him everything that came with it and blah blah blah. He asked why I didn't install the lights and I said "I don't know?" I don't need them I guess. So I got to thinking and decided to go ahead and do it. I haven't seen it at night yet to know if it's something I'll like but we'll see.

The only issue I had was one of the lights I must not have shrink wrapped the wires good enough because it didn't come on, but when I squeezed the connection it came on and stayed on. If it turns off again I guess I'll tear it apart and just go old school and use a wire nut and electrical tape. First time ever messing with that shrink tube junk. Seems more efficient to use a wire nut, but what do I know?

Boozedaily to go along with your wire nuts, you may want a few electrical receptacles and dimmer switches, and besides the more nuts the more booze, daily! LOL

I saw a set on an F250, not certain he mounted correctly, as steps didn't show at all. But they did work well. I like mine, hope they last.
