Air Dam Removal

There are 8 screws on the front of the air dam that have to be removed. Once removed, there are two large clips on the inside that need to be pressed and the air dam falls right off. It took me all of 15 minutes.

Appreciate the feedback guys. When my truck comes in I may just have the dealer take it off first thing. Don't want to expose any components either, is there a good front skid plate that won't interfere with FX4 skid plates?
May just leave it off without adding another skid plate but when I do go off road it is pretty hilly and rocky where I drive. I would hate to scrape against a rock if it leaves that area more unprotected with the air dam off.

As stickyboy mentioned above, simple as removing a few screws. You don't really need it unless you like it for cosmetic. I'm sure its serves the same purpose as rear spoilers do on cars...purely cosmetic. We can't drive fast enough for the spoilers to really do what they're meant to do, and the same goes for this air dam.
Most likely put on by Ford to just protect the undercarriage from small debris/rocks/etc that get thrown up on freeways. Unless you can get your F150 over 150mph, i doubt the air dam will help mpg any...just my opinion.
