Default Air bags with gooseneck hitch

Anyone installed rear air bags with a gooseneck hitch yet? I had fab'd my own on my 2012 by cutting the upper brackets and then welding to the hitch side plates. Would rather not go that route again but will if needed. Just looking to see what options are out there for the 15's.

It's a good idea to use airbags if you're putting a lot of weight into the bed of the truck. Firestone is a really good/popular brand. Have you looked into what they offer? I know Hitchweb sells them if you wanted to have a look: Air Bag Suspension

Default Air bags with gooseneck hitch

I purchased the Air Lift ultimate kit. Just got here today, depending on weather I might get to try to install tomorrow. Looks like it will work. Will post pictures of the install.

Default Air bags with gooseneck hitch

For anyone that was wondering, the Air Lift ultimate kit will work with a B&W Gooseneck hitch. Only thing I ran into was you need to insert the top carriage bolts prior to bolting the bracket to the frame as they hit the hitch when trying to drop them in after the fact as per the directions.

Do these airbags improve the ride or about the same?

Looking to do the same. Thanks

I actually just put up a set of AirLift Load Lifter 5000 Ultimate bags in the for sale. bought 4/20 and took off 2 weeks ago. Used 1x other than daily driving. Basically brand new. I sold the F-150 and now have a F-250 diesel.

I said local sale, but eh.. I suppose we can ship if anyone on this thread is interested in that.

I just ordered the Air Lift setup as well. I have a Husky 5th wheel hitch installed. I'm hoping it clears the brackets for the hitch like yours did. My hitch brackets look almost the same as your do. I'll report back once the kit arrives. Truck is a scab 4x4.

Old thread but how are you guys liking the AirLift Load Lifter 5000 Ultimate bags?
I had a set with the internal jounce bumpers and didn't like them at all. The bags are compressed by the suspension and every bump even when unloaded would hit the jounce bumper? If you have these without the internal bumper how do they ride when empty?

I keep 10 psi in mine when empty and they never bottom out. I do have the internal bumper. With 5 psi they would bottom out some. Overall I love the kit though. I tow 3 different trailers on a regular basis and with the wireless controller and compressor onboard it is very nice.
