Sounds like FORD needs to come up with a software revision to correct this---I have never heard of this in any other manufacture !!!

There are settings to adjust the sensitivity. Mine was set to high for the collision alert and I moved it down to normal. The adaptive cruise was already on normal. There's also a setting to turn adaptive off and have normal cruise. But who wants that when we've paid so much for the other. You mentioned Mercedes having it, do other car makers that have adaptive cruise reported similar issues?

I found at least one guy with a similar issue on a G2 vehicle...

Are any of these trucks lifted or leveled?

Another question for those with the issue and have verified your settings. Do any of you add a tint strip across the top of your windshield?

These are exactly the kinds of evidence lawyers need to prove that ford knew or should have known about an extremely dangerous product defect that ford released into the stream of commerce. It's going to be the ford exploder all over again. Hold on tight ford the lawyers are waiting for you with a big fat class action law suit.

Glad I skipped this option, wow! I have this on my 2013 Acura MDX Elite though, never have had any issues on that vehicle, and it was cheaper than my '15 F150.

I haven't had any issue with the adaptive cruise on my truck although I've only had it a short time. I have however used what I assume is the very same system in my 2011 MKX for 4.5 years and never had an issue like these. I can see how such problems could occur if the truck was lifted or leveled though.

I strongly believe the adaptive cruise function is entirely based around radar and has nothing to do with any camera.

No lifts or leveling on my truck. Unmodded Platinum with the factory tires and wheels. Side windows are tinted but nothing on the front windshield.
