yup. I had ACC on my last Audi and, while it didn't hit the brakes passing tankers, it would still occasionally lift off as you were passing getting close. I also found it was better setting it down to a small gap. Took me a while to realize that with a larger gap it would start imperceptibly slowing you down to the speed of the vehicle ahead on the freeway if you didn't pull out into a clear lane. Working as intended of course but after a while I realized that I was getting lulled into a slower speed than i was set at.

OTOH, I have also driven 20+ miles over the pass (10k feet) without touching the accelerator or brake by setting the ACC! Takes a bit of self control but can be done!

I believe they have an update for the ACC system, but some haven't had good results after the update....so I'd hold off on a dealership visit for this....unless it's really bad.

Default Wondering

Guardian, I noticed on an earlier threat you contacted Ford customer service to report your problem with Adaptive Cruise on your truck.

Did they do anything to help you or just tell you to report it to your dealer?
Is your's fixed?

Thanks,

I took it in when I got the first oil change done. I told the service guy to check the system as the CRM rep or whatever they are called, left notes in the system. The service guy couldn't find anything in the system. I told him when I got there, others were having this problem and if there's a fix, let me know but otherwise don't mess with it. 3 hours later, he tells me the tech is out on a 20 min joyride trying to find a bridge to drive under to see if he can reproduce the issue. I was furious at this point and when I saw the truck come back, the tech was getting ready to put it back up on the lift I had them pull it around. So, NO, they didn't find or fix anything on it. I'm still at 1 bar and normal sensitivity and since then no issues.
