6 speed transmission
An looking at the 3.5 Eco-boost but am told that the 6 speed "hunts" when towing heavy loads. I did a search and did not find much. Any comments on this? Other issues? Again did not find too much like a competitor I am considering.

How much is a heavy load? I just hauled 3500 lbs on cruise control up and down grades and it DOES NOT hunt. Tow/Haul mode has specific logic to prevent.

My understanding is that the ecoboost will hunt less than any other motor in this class. N/A motors are great, but since they need high RPMS to make power they'll be downshifting a lot, but factory programming tells them to upshift asap to gain fuel economy so GM, RAM, Toyota, and the 5.0 F150 will be doing more hunting than an ecoboost.

Who told you that? A dodge or GM fanboy? The Eco with a 6 speed has more low end torque than anything in a half ton ever had. So it actually does the opposite of what your source says.... I've towed plenty with my ecos and folks always comment how it holds a gear whil towing 8-10k lbs up small grades. Pretty amazing actually.
