Thanks, you may be right. My Ford literature said only on EB though.

Over 5 years, the EB 3.5 only saves you $750. What does the EB option cost above the 5.0 option in 2015?

When I bought my 2013 Platinum the EB cost $1300 ($cdn) more than the 5.0. I bought the latter engine.

Costs $400 to add the 3.5EB over the 5.0. However you can get the 2.7EB for $800 less than the 5.0 on some trim levels.

You also loose 500 lbs payload - which may come in handy. Otherwise they cost the same when upgrading to the payload package.

If the 5.0 really does have the grill shutters, I assume they are located high and actually behind the grill? The reason I ask is I recently saw a Platinum with the 5.0 and the lower grill area on either side of the license plate is solid. Looks like air can only get in through the main grill above the bumper.

The eb's have full shutters while the others have half shutters according to the book.

My 5.0 has some shutters. It was the first thing I inspected, as my work involves aerodynamics. I was curious how Ford incorporated them.
