im about to order my 15 f150 and im really torn between the two engine choices. ill be lifting the truck and using it on weekend trips and around town errands. I dont pull anything but want to able to if I have to. I love the sound of the coyote and its simplicity, but i also see the potential of the eb engines as far as power, but i cant stand how it sounds

These types of posts are really annoying...
First off, the 5.0 is no more "simplistic" than the 3.5 eco, the 3.5 eco is not some kind of superman engine compared to the 5.0. Believe it or not, V8 engines were towing plenty of heavy trailers before the eco engines came along.
I own an eco and I drove both to determine which one I wanted...asking a forum such as this for advice on which engine to choose? no way!

I understand that trucks are heavy and are considered slow, But I'm buying a single cab short bed 4x4 and am a gear head so I won't leave it alone.
I also understand that this thread has been gone over 7000 times. But with all the extra moving parts of the eb engine I'm just standoffish as to maintenance cost after the warranty expires. But on the other hand I see the power potential behind a twin turbo v6

Well I'll make your decision easier. You can't get a 3.5eb in a reg cab short bed.
