How does the Eco handle the level and 275 or 285 tires? MPG's or off the line starts hurting? I have 3.55 gears and am debating to do a similar setup with Toyo's and FOX coil overs. Thanks! Nice looking setups BTW.

Tommy
None... Tire place had a guy watching under truck for hitting on suspension also. I also cranked all the way backing out at end of driveway. I have read guys go 285 without issue too.
Oh, nothing done to crash bars either

The level won't make a noticeable difference. Heavier tires will. The 275 shouldn't be too bad, and even the 285 is only 3/4" wider (IIRC) and ~6lbs. heavier than stock. Going to a 325/60 and you're adding another inch of width (and rolling resistance) and 8 lbs per corner over a 285/65-20.

I put the 285s on before I established a good baseline with the stock truck, but I'm averaging around 16mpg with a lot of stop and go around town driving with only 1100 miles on the truck, so I'm hoping it will get a bit better in a couple thousand miles. Driving earlier with the cruise set at 35 on a flat local road the instant MPG readout was close to 20. I get ~18 on flat highway doing around 70. This is also with the tire size re-programmed with an SCT tuner (speedo is within 1/2 mph of the GPS speed on my phone). That's probably 25% better than my last truck, so I'm not complaining. I also have no complaints about the get up and go of the truck - it'll move when I tell it to!

Any issues with the crash bars? I keep reading mixed reviews on these with the 2016's.

The installer didn't mention anything about having to do anything to the crash bars, which was a concern of mine (I didn't want them compromised in any way). I just checked the tire specs - the 285/65-20 has less than a 1/2" wider section width than the stock 275/55-20 on the same rim, so you're only adding 1/4" to the inner and outer clearances. They're basically perfect for what I was looking for - to give the truck a bit of extra ground clearance, mostly for winter driving where I did't want to go to a wider tire that would further degrade my MPGs.

That's good news. Mind you I just have a 2" front level, are your Rancho's set to 2.5"? I also don't want to compromise the crash bars either.
I have mud flaps also, not sure if the tires will effect them or not.

The Rancho QuickLift is a 2.5" level, but I hear it settles a bit. Regardless, the width of the wheel/tire combo (along with the offset) would be more of an issue than the height as far as the crash bars go. You can see in my pics above that there's plenty of clearance between the top of the tire and the fender, so I'm sure you'll be fine w/ a 2" level. I've heard that some have even run 35" tires on the stock suspension (not sure of the wheel or tire width).
