-27*F/-33*C weather and stiff steering
Was a cool morning today with the wind chill bringing temps down to -33* today. I noticed my steering was a little stiffer than normal. It never happened last year and figured cold wouldn't be an issue with electric steering other than pivot points. As the day went on it got better. Anyone else notice this before? This is my first vehicle with electric steering so I'm not sure if it's a common thing or an issue creeping up. Like I said, I never noticed this last winter, which is why I'm a little concerned.

It gets like that when it gets colder. My Work van, 2008 GMC Savana's steering gets a little bit stiff especially on startup and go. Once it warms up it isn't as stiff. Same applies to all vehicles I have owned throughout the years.

Yes it is indeed chilly! Could be worse. Back in the late 2000's we had a winter where it hit -58*C (That's -72*F). That was a fun day that I'm sure you other Edmonton guys remember. Luckily I had heated parking, but it was a stick shift, and on my way to work I could feel the clutch and shifter getting harder to use lol Still made it to work though, me and 3 other guys. Suffice to say, we were sent home for the day.
As for the steering issue, it was colder this morning, but no problems with the steering. Weird...
