Default 2016s and Addressed Issues from 2015

Hey everyone,

So I'm holding out for a 2016 for many reasons; moonroof leaks, body panel alignment issues, Sync 3, cooled seats inoperative, and some others.

Is there any way of knowing if these issues have been addressed for the 2016s? Or do we simply have to roll the dice?

After reading many of these threads, it definitely gives me an uneasy feeling about ordering a 60k truck.

In the same boat as you and also hoping they fix some if not all of these issues from the first run.

If your waiting for Ford to fix leaky moon roof you may as well pass. Do a history almost every year f150 has had this that's why I don't have one. As for sync everyone will praise BB at forst but it will fail, I will bet on it. No one is ever happy with voice rec. As for body panel as before these minor issues always arise. Take the big discounts on any model when you can get em.

This will be my 5th F150 with a moonroof (IF it ever arrives...) and I have had zero water leaks-even after driving / riding through high pressure car washes or heavy rain at sustained highway speeds.

Just remember that Ford just sold over 700,000 F-150s this year alone! I understand there are outliers out there regarding issues, and you are sure to hear about them when on a message board, but if these issues were anything more than anomalies for even 10% of the buyers of F-150s, it would be major news.

I will assure you that every auto maker had the same number or reported issues if not larger on similar message boards and forums.

The good thing about the reports are you can use them as a guide, but not to expect it as the norm for your vehicle experience...

2016 is my next expected purchase ( I get a new one when the warranty expires ) So, I'm looking for information on the 2016's as well. I don't expect any real answers until they hit the lots though.

BTW... never had a moon/sunroof leak.

Ford doesn't separate their sales numbers from the Super duties. The annual sales figures include the F150, F250, F350, F450, and F550, not just F150.

Haven't had a single issue (oops, cooled seat issue that a TSB was just released for) with my 2015.

Default 2016s and Addressed Issues from 2015

I have a July build 2015. My moonroof leaks a bit. Do I care? No, it drips into the drip tray and runs off down the pillar and out of the truck like it's designed to do. I bet most moonroofs leak, but this one is more open for us to see whereas others have covers and caps hiding everything. All of my previous F-150's have dripped a bit onto my shoulders and console lid while going through the wash, my '15 doesn't. The drip has never affected me and I don't see why it's a big deal.

My truck has zero panel alignment issues, the roof gutters are fine, rear armrest alignment is fine, no unwanted wind noise, MyFordTouch works relatively flawlessly and now that there's a TSB out for the seat cooling, life's dandy.

If you order a '16 you probably won't see it before Christmas. Not worth the wait IMO.
