If you have a friend at a Ford dealer just order exactly what you want. You know you're going to get the best price no matter what, so order exactly what you want and be happy.

I agree, i wouldn't settle on a 16 if it was not 100% what you wanted. Granted, the integrated brake controller is a very very easy install after the fact.

Buy a used truck to bide some time until the 2018's come out. You won't lose much money on driving a 2013 truck for a year.

Or at least wait until the end of the 2017 model year to allow time for some of the bugs on the new 3.5 and 10 speed to be worked out. There are bound to be a few bugs that surface in the mass production environment versus the design/test environment. I worked in tier-one automotive OEM supply for 20+ years so I have first-hand experience with these types of things.

FWIW, I think Ford is handling the 2017 launch the correct way by being cautious. It causes a lot of frustration on the part of the Public, but in the long run it means better Customer satisfaction and fewer Warranty issues.

Here is my issue. Once, I buy the next truck, I actually want to keep it for awhile. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm getting tired of truck shopping lol. I want to get exactly what I want this time and be done with it, at least for a little while.

I can't hold off too long on getting a truck because right now my Ram will not pass my states required Inspection/Emissions test because of an issue that Ram can not figure out. My clocks ticking.

Well sounds like to me you should do a dealer trade for the truck in Rhode Island. If you had the time I'd say order one for sure and get exactly what you want. That's what I did and I paid more than if I got one off the lot and waited but it was my first new purchased vehicle and I wanted exactly what I wanted. If you found one exactly the way you want jump on it. If they can't get it (if it's at Tasca in Rhode Island they are overpriced so I wouldn't Deal with them direct) I would order and find a way to get by in the meantime
