Here's what I was told by my dealership today

The order bank for the 2016 opens 08/17 and production starts in mid-October to mid-November depending on which plant.* I would expect the order guide to be out the week of 08/10

Default 2016 Order Guide

Here in Canada they have "employee price" which is actually A plan. If I order my 2016 before September 30th when the A plan finishes I can carry it over to the 2016 and get the great benefits of the A plan. When I apparently take ownership of my new 2016 in November. Otherwise I'd have to wait until next July for this deal haha. Although X plan isn't bad either, I'd pay 4% more than the A plan. This is the route that the manager at a dealership told me to go by getting my 2016 earlier than waiting!

So here's a question, in the promotion they have the Employee Price discount (~$7000-8000) and a special delivery allowance ($4000/$5500). Buy ordering the '16 instead of buying '15 off the lot are you losing the delivery allowance?

If you can get one. I've been waiting 4 months for mine. The extra rebates will be nice if it ever shows up. They were only $1300 when I ordered.

Default 2016 Order Guide

For the early order on the 2016 they said I'll still get all the rebates offered at time of ordering!

Just be careful, the delivery allowances may only apply to the 2015 trucks, so even though you may still get employee pricing on the 16, you may not get the allowance.

It would really be a marketing blunder for Ford to not put Sync 3 in it's bread and butter money maker for 2016, but have it in a Fiesta.

I think it's a bit of a marketing blunder to have these trucks with all of this technology and not be able to retro the Sync 3 to the 2015 model year...

Careful on this, make sure you get that in writing from them. I tend to order all of my cars and I've never had a dealer, Ford, Mazda or BMW do that. The standard answer is that the rebates given will be those available upon arrival and they generally don't know that at the time you order.

Just wanted to give you a heads up from my own experience. I hope it is different for you, but I don't want to see you get misled.

I did wind up speaking with someone from Ford and they told me that orders will open up mid-August (which lines up with the two fleet sites I've seen with real dates posted) and that the on-line build and configure tool on their website should be updated around the beginning of October. I've never ordered a car during this weird change-over time period though, so I was wondering...
If we place orders in mid-August, and the lines are scheduled to spool up mid-October, that realistically means the earliest you'll see your truck is end of November? Am I interpreting that correctly, assuming the dates we've seen are accurate?
