Is it only at the front? You may be chasing a moonroof leak, when instead you have a windshield leak. My mom's '01 expedition has leaked water from the windshield a few times, always just in the passenger floorboard. We thought it was the door or something, ended up being the windshield. I'd wait for it to dry up some (or dry it up yourself) and spray the windshield. If that doesn't leak then spray the moonroof yourself. Once you figure it out, take it back and say "I checked it myself, it's this area that is leaking." They'll of course check it and discover the leak hopefully. That is, if the video isn't enough proof.

Default 2015 f150 water leak found

Just got back from the dealer. they found a seam loose at the top driver side "A" Pillar next to the windshield. This dealer didnt have a body shop to effect a repair so I took it to the original dealer that couldnt find the leak to begin with. Should know today or tomorrow what the solution to a fix is.

It was not the moon roof so that is good to hear.

Russ111, was the leak fixed? I am having the exact same issue and dealer is saying it can not replicate it. I was wondering what outcome was on your truck.

At least you guys were able to get your issues resolved. Didn’t work so well for me, but it’s nice to know some people get treated right. I ended up with an f-250 after my fiasco with 2 f-150’s. I really wanted the f-150. This 250 has some power though. I just had an 8” bds coilover kit and some rims and tires put on. The project is just getting started. The 6.7L is a beast. Ouch. It’s a platinum but I’m getting rid of all the chrome.

Hi russ111,

To help all of us with similar issues a follow-up would be great. Looks like you might have a newer truck but back when you had the 2016 did the dealer's claim of a loose seam at the top driver side "A" Pillar next to the windshield fix your leak?

Thanks

I know that this is an older thread but when I had my 2016 XLT, I had the exact same water leak on the brake pedal and after 5 or so visits to the dealership about it, they finally changed the windshield out and no more leaks. They did not say anything about a loose seam of any bad seals though.

Moonroof is not always the cause for water lesks. I finally found this older thread for other causes which I had and it fixed it nicely.
