Default 2016 - Even More Aluminum through Micromill?

There's a part of this article that I'm unsure of, so I thought I would ask.

Everyone knows the 2015's have an aluminum body that made them 700lbs lighter. And I personally saw a video of impact damage against the 2015 aluminum truck bed, so I know it's made of aluminum.

Perhaps this article suggests that Ford is either:
  • Just now using aluminum in the truck bed (for the 2016)...
  • Or they're switching from rolled to molten aluminum manufacturing via this new Micromill tech process.
I guess what I'm trying to discern is whether this is just behind-the-scenes materials shuffling that makes no nevermind to the consumer (other than speedier manufacturing reducing order wait) or if there's actually more aluminum now than the 2015s.

the actual weight difference is not 700lbs as ford says. It is, if you compare a 2014 crew cab to a 2015 reg cab. my 08 crew cab long bed vs my 15 crew cab long bed is 400lbs...

Guessing there is on specific model that has close to the advertised number in weight savings. Guessing it was not across all models. That is usually how marketing works.
