Of course the 5.0 sounds better. It's a V8. V8s usually always sound amazing. However, the Ecoboost is an incredible engine and you can get crazy horsepower and torque out of them for not much money.

Exhausts on the Ecoboost are a little underwhelming, but they do kind of sound like a 6 cylinder M series BMW.

On youtube and everywhere else people bash ecoboost. A friend of mine said they all blow around 60,000 miles. If that were true ford wouldn't have the 3.5 eco as the premium engine and sure wouldn't be selling them.

I have a 2.7 and I'm gonna use it as a truck. I'm gonna tow and do everything I did with my 5.4 and see what happens. Its very powerful and the torque curve is unbelievable.

I dont feel any need to add a tune because it's got more acceleration than I could believe.

I had to look up what CGI was. Very impressive stuff.

Isn't the 5 ohh a Stang engine?

That's what's in my 69 Mach 1....

2.7/3.5 best truck engines out there...since the 7.3 is gone...

Why does your signature line say your Mach has a 351 Cleveland? Totally different architecture vs the current 5.0

5.0 3.5EB, both are the best engines in a truck, but going to a 2016, you will not like it. You WILL need to replace the shocks right away if you want a halfway decent ride. I am so wishing I could have found a replacement 14 for the one I had that got wrecked instead of getting the 16 I got now. Don't get me wrong, the new truck is nice and has a lot of nice features, but to me the 14 was a better truck.

If you do consider the 3.5 EB, then go for the 17, from what I heard it is wicked fast with that new 10 speed trans.

Can confirm the 3.5 EB w/ 10 speed is incredibly quick. I do not notice a really rough ride with mine though, but it does ride like a truck. It's not nearly as bad as I initially expected from some of the posts I read here. I was expecting a ton of judder and hoppyness, but I'm not experiencing any of that. It rides how I think a truck should ride, if that makes sense.
