Default 2015 Wheel/Tire Combination HELP!

All,

I have a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat FX-4 with 20 inch 6 spoke gray painted aluminum wheels that have Hankook DynaPro ATM tires (P275/55R20). I am looking at installing Fuel Anza 20x9 wheels with a 5 backspacing/1 offset along with a 275/65R20 tire, possibly Goodyear Duratracs and ICON stage 2 kit. I want the wheel to come out past the fender a little bit similar to the previous model years, maybe 1-1.25 inches. The Fuel wheel also comes with a 5.75 backspacing, but I think this will make it sit in too far. I was wondering if anyone knew the backspacing of the factory wheel and if the above wheel/tire combination would fit my truck without rubbing or modification. I am new to all the backspacing/offset stuff and only find myself confused after reading different threads of dozens of combinations, where some say that have rubbing and others do not.

I also wanted to know if 6x135 is the correct lug pattern and could I go with a bigger tire? I tried uploading pictures but it kept failing. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Stocks are +44 offset, but they sit a bit further inboard than past years model. A lot of folks are running 285/65/20's with 1.5" wheel spacers on a 2.5" level without rubbing. If my calcs are right, the 1.5" spacer equates to 38mm so about similar to a +6 offset. (Somebody can check my analysis on this), but this is the way I have been looking at it to decide on mine. I have the same wheels, 2.75" level, and running 35x12.50 Toyo R/Ts currently with no rub. Have 1.25 spacers on the way which should equate to about a +12 offset, but my tires are about 1.5" wider than the 275's. I think they will rub but I plan on adjusting the front crash bar if only slightly. Best I can do to help.

Yes 6 on 135mm is the f150's wheel pattern. If you level the truck with the icon kit I would recommend looking at a +20 offset. It'll push the wheel out and give it a good stance without pushing it out to much. I did this to my previous truck with 20x9 fuel Mavericks with 35x12.50 fuel Mavericks. For best fit I'd go for around a 34x12 tire. Like the guy above has 35's and it probably works fine but pay close attention to the width of the tire. My 35" mud grapplers are classified as 12.50 wide but if you look at nitto's website says they are like 13.2" wide. They always rubbed a little bit.

There are people running 35x12.5 tires on a 2.5" level with no rub. Albeit on stock wheels and no spacers.

I ran 275/65/20 with 1.5" spacers on a 2.5" level and rubbed at full crank. So in my experience, a +6 offset will have you rubbing with a 275/65/20 and 2.5" lift. I modified my crash bars slightly and all is fine now.

Isn't your truck a 2WD, difference in clearance height?

Great point Cotton makes regarding checking the actual tires spec. Toyo says mine are 34.8x12.50 inflated. Have seen a few guys here running a larger tire with the +20 offset. If you are trying to get 1 to 1.5 inches outside the top fender point I think it will be tough with a +20 on the new trucks without going to a 12.50" wide set up whether 33" or 35" tall. Look around, there are a lot of posts covering this and a lot of set ups. Check member's swb1984 truck.

Here is the distance on mine to get even with the top of fender:

Only difference was rear clearance with no factory 1.25" block. I got a 2.25" block to remedy that.

Front measurements were similar with stock 4x4. After 2.5" spacer install my front measurement is comparable to the measurements of 4x4s with a 2.5" spacer.
