Angry 2015 Screw with the 2.7 died

I just bought my new f150 last month on the 18th.. i have 1550 miles on it now and was on my way to the dealership this morning to get one of the sport stickers on the bed replaced (it was not straight) well....... the truck just started randomly shutting off and no not the auto start stop. i would have to put it into park to restart the truck. So i hit the disable button for the auto start stop and still every time i would come to a stop the truck would spudder and die. i made it to ford and once i got there the truck had a terrible idle. They tested the fuel for water and was perfect. then tested for to much ethanol and still perfect. They had 2 master ford techs on it and were on the phone with ford and still had no idea what it could be. they are keeping it overnight. anyone else have this issue?????

Wow I can imagine your frustration! Please keep us updated with what they say. So far many members, myself included, have been very please with the 2.7s so hopefully this is just a fluke thing.

Just how does one become a 'master mechanic' ? Hope they figure it out and get your truck back to you soon.

I had a bad idle, sputter and stall incident on my 3.5 na last week at ~2100km (1300 miles). I posted about it here but have not yet updated the post. The dealership pulled two codes off the truck related to a PCM issue. They updated firmware tithe newest version (the truck was only built 6 weeks ago) and gave the truck back. Possible explanations were corrupted firmware or damaged PCM, neither of which really make sense to me.

Default 2015 Screw with the 2.7 died

While ase is one way while I was working with ford they were dropping them as a requirement. Ford has its own schools you have to pass to become a ford master tech. It's a long drawn out schedule usually consisting of passing electrical first. Usually the tech then goes on to take classes in the area of the field they will be working. Examples of that are electrical, drivability, a/c, Front end, transmissions, diesel all requiring a lot of classes to pass one certain area. These take years to pass and require passing computer test as well as hands on test. If someone has the ford master tech badge on their shirt they put some time in ford and ford in them. It's one of the highest awards a ford tech can have.
