If you like the moonroof, I would get it. You have to remember, this is an internet forum. More people come here to address an issue versus not having an issue. I'm sure the majority of trucks built have a moonroof that doesn't leak. Mine doesn't leak and I really love having the moonroof.

It was recessed some, but better than mine. Maybe there's just an acceptable variation - sort of like the door gaps.
I've had my Platinum a little over a week. No leaking under any conditions and it has rained a lot. I washed it Sunday and standing in the bed noticed that water pooled in the front two corners where the glass isn't flush, but still no leak inside. Seals are working so far ..... ???? !!!!

UPDATE:

Got the truck back Thursday morning.

Thursday night we had about 1/2" of rain. NO LEAKS.

Friday night we had a thunderstorm with tornados in area and it bellywashed up to 1 3/4" of rain. The rain was fiercely driven, a lot of it.....

This morning I checked it out thoroughly and NO LEAKS !!!!

Also, this is kind of an acid test because where I park the truck in our driveway it's a bit inclined. Simply meaning that the two forward drains would be doing all the work. If you were level then you'd further have the benefit of all four drains in play.

This is my sixth Ford of which this is my third truck. As I said previously Ford is a good company for many reasons. I suggest to all who have followed my posts to review them critically vs emotionally. I look forward to enjoying this vehicle as thoroughly as ever. Even now as I drive it this seems like a distant memory. Not even sure if it happened to me.

Thanks to all for the input and civil comments. GLTA

While there may be several having this issue it is not wide spread. I have had mine since December 20 - high pressure wash, driving hard rain, etc. Never a leak.

Glad yours was fixed and done correctly.

Can you post your service order? I'm collecting a few to take to my dealer to check this at delivery.

Nah, no posting of service order. I'm done with this now. As I said earlier, the drivers side front drain hose was kinked due to excessive length.

Good luck with your new truck.
