2015 KR Rear View Mirror Tap

Anybody done a mirror tap for radar detector on this mirror? How do I get to wiring? Thanks.

So my rearview does not have that plastic housing behind it, but my firends does. Is there a reason behind this?

I gave up on the wiretap and had it wired with a regular escort harness.

I think that's what you're after. I haven't ordered my new BlendMount and MirrorTap yet so I haven't tried it myself.
