Also, if it's a pissing contest about getting likes... Ahem, I think Im doing okay.I've also started some of the longest most interesting and helpful threads on here....Bro.
But apparently, seeing as you have thanked people 190 times and been on here for not very long ..you desperately need that affirmation.

Lol, I see someone has mastered the art of multi quoting ! Good for you !
Umm, I have thanked people 97 times in 2873 posts...not 190 times in like 280 .. But ok.
I own you.
But it's nice to see you defending your man with such honor.
Anyway, sorry you got your panties in a twist over a rather simple comment I made pages ago.
Maybe we can get back on topic now?

Oh boy, thanking people on forums is a weakness now? If you didn't want to get off topic then you shouldn't continue to argue, or even mention things you know you have an unpopular opinion on. You do understand this is just ONE forum on the internet, post count or 'thanks' mean nothing.

Haha thanks to all of the adults in the room.
Anyway, the engine seems like a winner, but it will have the same problem as the current 3.5TT in a 700 lb heavier truck. The mpg will be advertised at 28 mpg or something, and people will get loaded screws with 4wd expecting to get anywhere near that. Just get the 5.0 with tall gears if that is your plan.
Also, don't forget that only the 5.0L can get the snow plow prep package. Kind of a big deal for those in the North.

I have a close friend that works for my local Ford dealership and he told me 30mpg for the 2.7L
I'm highly interested in the actual numbers. I love my fuel efficient GLI right now, but I want to get rid of my old F150 and the car. Ha
I need a fuel efficient truck for snowboarding and long hunting trips. My current truck is only 12-15mpg

I suspect your friend is just parroting media narrations and Ford's hope to achieve something approaching 30 mpg to surpass the Ram 1500 diesel. It's not likely that a 5,000# 4X4 Screw is going to get anywhere close to such mileage even with the 2.7L.
