Per the video on Ford's website, interesting that the 2.7L fell behind the 5.3L Chevy by a few seconds when the temperature started dropping. Good for hot climate people but what if you live in a cold climate area for most of the year? But most people will not floor it all the way when towing. Still impressive on how it smokes the Ecodiesel Ram, but I saw a 0-60 video somewhere online and it wasn't too impressive for the Ram.

I really thought that the max tow ratings would go up to around 12K with the truck weighing so much less. I guess with the same frame, or close to the same frame for 2015, Ford is not willing to stress it any more that the current tow rating.

2015s are 732 lbs lighter than 2014 F150. (From 5600 to 4900.)

-2.7L ecoboost has 325 hp and 375 Ftlbs torque. Can haul 2,160 lbs and can tow 8,500 lbs.

-3.5L ecoboost has 365 hp and 420 Ftlbs torque. Can haul 2,600 lbs and can tow 11,300 lbs

-3.5L V6 Ti-VCT engine produces 283 hp and 255 lb.-ft. of torque

More to follow
Is it just me or is ford doing to the na 3.5 v6 what they did to th 3.7 in the mustang? Theyre underpowering the na v6 to inflate the ecoboost engines, damn shame...

If you ask me they did the same thing with the 5.0L, I think it's underrated/weak tune so it doesn't outshine the Eco.

Been gone all afternoon and evening, but no MPG numbers accounted for.

I completely agree with you, in the mustang its rated at 435 and it was 420 in the 2014 'stang, this proves the 5.0's are capable of so much more but ford chooses to neuter them so they can make the ecoboost engines look like the go to engine for performance, towing, hauling, economy. Nothing against the ecoboost but if they already chopped the 6.2 off the line up, how much more time can we give the 5.0?
