Power to Weight Ratio for the 2015 2.7L Eco is a bit better than the 2014 3.5L Eco...

I'd take sales numbers with a grain of salt. If you discount something enough, no matter how bad it is, it will sell. Sales volume is not necessarily an indicator of good quality.
Especially if what you favor is not selling. Or so they say. People are just too dumb to recognize the superior quality of the Tundra. Yeah, that's it.

Yep, people are not smart enough to recognize quality. That is why that chart showed Chevy and GM trucks together selling more vehicles than Ford.

Oh, my mistake. The chart does NOT show that. Sorry.

Toyota Tundra? Give me a break!!

You realize sales volume is often a factor of cheap price, right? So Walmart sells the most, must be the best store, right? According to this logic...

Yes, the 2014 Tundra is an excellent truck, sales figures notwithstanding. You can throw the baby out with the bath water if you want, but that doesn't diminish Toyota's overall track record regarding quality. But Ford isn't standing still either.

I had a tundra right before this F-150...the only thing I like better now is the gauge cluster (love the mpg bar haha) and the mpg, other than that I really miss my tundra as compared to this truck. To each their own I suppose, that's why they make one for everyone.

The Tundra may have an OK engine and interior, but the frame simply isn't built to tow. Have you seen the comparative video with the bed on the Toy almost hitting the cab because it was shaking so badly over the bumps?
The F-150 being the number one best seller for what -- 35 YEARS simply means something in the market place. Return customers (those being happy with their trucks and not being willing to consider something inferior) have to be the biggest part of that, don't you think?
As far as Tundra being high quality, check out this site please:

It is amazing what a diet will do isn't it?
700+ pounds is a LOT to take out of a vehicle.

Is it later than normal for the testing and certification to be over before Ford can release HP and torque figures for the 5.0 ?
I am assuming Ford has not yet released. I do not remember folks not having figures when they can order a new truck.
Any updates on this?

And what do you consider the "best" store? And what does "best" mean to you?

Just curious.

After careful consideration, millions of people have voted against the Toyota Tundra.

With their wallets.

This certainly would not make you rush to the Tundra showroom.

And like sterlingone pointed out, reliability depends.

Fact is Toyota has been improving the Tundra steadily year after year. You would expect that from any major manufacturer. Is it as good as an F150? In some respects yes, in other no. Depends on what choices you make in your options. And choice is good. Competition is good. The 2014 Tundra is an outstanding truck, on the par with the 2014 Ford F-150. Too bad Ford moved the goal posts, again.

I have a 2007 Tundra and I love the power of the motor and the quickness of the truck, but that's as far as it goes. Gas mileage is horrible as we all know.
So far since 2007 I have spent over $6000.00 in repairs and all of those repairs happened right after my extended warranty expired at 100,000 miles.
Honestly I like the Tundra, but the 2014 has a nice dash, but the truck is almost identical to the 2007 with the exception of minor changes.
The 2015 Ford F 150 is a game changer and I am climbing aboard.
