Default 2015 headlights not bright enough at night!

Hey everybody I was just curios to find out if anyone else has experienced this? My 2015 halogen headlights on my truck are not bright enough. I struggle to see the road even with the driving lights on at the same time. I believe the aim is correct, they do not look dim from the outside, they just don't seem to be very strong. I would think that on a brand new truck this would not be the issue. Another 2015 was behind me tonight and it seemed his was not all that bright either compared to all the other cars around us.

My 2001 had halogen and I never had any issue seeing the road like I do with truck.

Any advice or suggestions on what can be done for this besides going LED or HID?

Thanks in advance!

Humble, do a search here for "headlight mod". Easy bulb swap with off the shelf bulbs that really help.

I'm not surprised. My 2011 F350 was terrible too, which is why I did a HID retrofit. The HID retrofit was amazing.

I went LEDs for my 2015 F150 and I'm glad I did. Although I would say the HID retrofit was still a tad better.

Driving lights, you mean the fog lights on with the headlights?

The 2015 I drove had way better halogen lights then my 2014 halogen. I just put in some piaa 4k extreme whites and they helped alot

The headlights on my 2015 F150 tie for the worst headlights on any vehicle I've ever owned. And I've owned a lot. Two RX-7s, a Sentra, a 240SX, and seven BMWs. All of these vehicles had better headlights than my F150. The only car that comes close is my first: a 1984 Ford Escort. I remember it was almost impossible to see the road at night if it was raining and there was oncoming traffic. It was quite disconcerting, especially for a 16-year old. I get to experience the same thing all over again as a 44-year old.

I've definitely got to find some sort of replacement.

Fog lights are just that, Fog lights. Very little help lighting up the road without replacing with the Morimoto's or something similar.

There's still a chance lowering the aim of the headlights could help. If they're aimed to high you're not lighting up the road.

There is a mod a member on here posted for halogen lights, basically modifying an existing bulb to work in the low beam socket by simply cutting a tab off the plastic portion of the bulb. He said it is a hell of a lot brighter but at the same time didn't change the effect to oncoming drivers.

If someone has a link that'd help, I'm on my phone right now.

I take it that the LED lights aren't on all '15 models?

I'm always getting lights flashed at me from oncoming vehicles in my neighborhood when I'm on low beam.......so I'm guessing the LED lights are really bright, I can see plenty well enough...

the halogen lights are horrible. I got some lights from the retrofit source and have been very happy with them. HID projector replacement is a good chunk cheaper then LEDs from raptor retrofit, but the look is different. Can always spend way less just switching bulbs and blinding drivers tho.

No matter what you choose I would support it over the OEM lights which aren't even lights in my opinion
