2015 Ford F150 EcoBoost RX Catch Can Install
#41
I just did exactly that for my 3.5L. I ordered a air box lid and passenger side turbo inlet tube to go along with my RX Monster can. Part #'s and pricing from fordparts.com below.
Turbo Inlet tube: FL3Z9R530C $46.01
Air Box Lid: FL3Z9661A $9.96

Did my 1st empty after 500 miles, 3.5 eco. no rain and 70 to 80 degrees everyday during the 500 mile span. Not even a cap full of oil and dark now yellow stuff.

Yeah, having unmodified parts on hand isn't exactly hiding anything. Engines ain't clean things. This is noticeable.

Shouldn't be a warranty issue to begin with...Ford should welcome owners that install these kits! But, I'm with you JHG...deny my warranty for clean parts? Goodluck with that! Silly stealership! Oh, and the reason Ford does not install these as a stock item, is because they don't want another service item (especially one left to the owner) to maintain...simple as that. The truck "runs" without them, so...it's about in line with why Livernois and 5-Star (and others) can tune the truck with a very "every-day" modest tune and have it run 1000% better...why does Ford not do this?? Meet in the middle, reduced risk.

I have been following this thread and the catch can sounds like a great idea. From what I read it will void the warranty. So to get around this I would have to remove the catch can every time the truck is serviced right? I have the service contract so they will be doing all my service work.
