Default 2015 F150's

Have had a 2011 and have been kind of skeptical about the 2015 and up with the aluminum bodies. Since mine is going to be totaled out by the insurance company I am looking at a beautiful 2015 Platinum. Been researching the 2015's pros and cons and was wondering if I could get some feed back from you all here on the forums. Thanks in advance

I like mine... only con I'd have is that it's the first of it's kind, being they changed it all in 2015... but so far no issues on mine (mine was made late 2015).

You should be able to get great pricing on the 2015 of course being the 2016's are out now.

Umm no real negatives I'd say. It's a great truck.

The 2016 have a different version of Sync/entertainment center (i forgot what it's called) which is supposed to be better, but I have no issues with the older version, works great for me.

Ummmm only negative I'd say is the headlights suck unless you get the OEM LED (but there are lots of options available for that).

The only thing that failed on MOST of the 2015s was the 3rd brake light... the rear cargos (the white lights) that are halogen will melt the housing if you leave your door open a while (like if you clean your truck)... but some models have LEDs back there (again you can always replace the bulbs with LED which is what most of us did to avoid the housing melting).

I leased a 2015 Platinum new for 24 months. I gave it back a month early cuz it was such a problem child.

Most annoying thing about those trucks is they don't seem to be able to stop the wind noise around the doors and the doors rattle and jiggle over any bumps.

My seats kept breaking too. The massaging feature would randomly inflate or not deflate the bladders making the truck horribly uncomfortable.

I'd be a leary of why someone got rid of that truck. I would've considered buying mine after the lease, but the lease end residual was higher than the value and it had so many problems I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

If the one you're looking at is magnetic and VIN ends in "583" RUN AWAY.

I have a late 15 model and has no issue. Love it. I've had a 2010,11,13 and the 15 I plan on keeping.

I wouldn't say be leery of why someone got rid of it. I buy a new truck every 2 years or less...just got rid of a perfect 2015 F250 Platinum. Had 2014 and 2012 Rams before that. Some folks just like new trucks.

June build on my 15. No wind or door noise/movemnet.
Only issue is noise when turning steering wheel. Bit the 10 and 13 did the same thing.
2yr lease and going back for a 17 in a few months.
Recommended.

11 months and 15k miles in my 2015 3.5 eco Lariat FX4 Screw now. It hasn't been back to the dealership.

What I consider the only real issue is slightly poor in/out rear door alignment at the very bottom of the door. Passenger rear is the worst; it sticks out a couple of millimeters from the bottom "character" line to the bottom of the door. It's not bad enough that I want to risk taking it in and having it screwed up worse; it really doesn't bother me.
