These new XL's remind me of the STX's. I like them! Too much fluff on the models higher than XLT's. Takes the truck away from being a truck..

I can't get over the fact that my 5.0 SC 2wd came with Goodyear AT LT245 17 Kevlar Load range E tires! Big dael for me as my property is covered with thorny bushes and brush. Those tires and the elec diff will come in handy.

I got the equivalent of the last gen "STX" trim through an XL with sport package. Not big on chrome or carpet (prefer vinyl flooring) and the XL had all of the now standard power features (sync, power locks and windows, etc.)
This. I did look at XLT's but I had very specific list of things I needed and one of them was vinyl floors. My last truck had the MFT and was not impressed so did not need that. XL allowed me to get everything I wanted without buying stuff I did not want and it was much cheaper then an XLT.

Default My XL

XL purchased on July 4th for $24245 ("$10000 off all Ecoboost trucks!").
Four options:
Equipment Group 101A
2.7L Ecoboost Engine
Trailer Tow Package
XL Chrome appearance group

I have done a lot since purchase. Mostly bolt ons from Ebay or Craigs list. Most notable are XLT grill , Hellwig sway bar ,OEM bug deflector and splash guards, Westin step bars , chrome wheelskins , and Dee Zee bed mat. Future mods are Bed illumination kit and probably a catch can. First pic is the weekend after I bought it. Love my XL !

Whoa, you said you installed the OEM backup camera. What all was involved in that?

Rubber mats for the bed and tailgate
Lund tonneau cover

Great look. I want to install the same things you did to improve the look of my xl, now that I've seen what it will look like I'm definitely going to do it along with some others. Great looking truck
