The figures I found says Ford sold 46,536 F150's last year, Toyota 7890 Tundra's. Not sure you can even compare the two. Be nice to know by percentages problems reported by manufacturer.

You will be Happy with the Tundra Twice the truck as The F150 .

The mileage is essentially the same, but one is a piece of crap, and the other is gold? Nice analysis. The bath you took on the trade would offset any perceived difference in mpg's for a LONG time. Did your new one even get broke in?

With a fiver, I would be concerned about the Tundra's payload. Guess that's why you are looking at Reg Cabs. Might just scrape by with a Tundra there.

Unfortunately the 2015 Reg Cabs are not on the lots yet. So you'll probably be paying close to MSRP if you order. They haven't started making them. Given time, the discounts will happen.

If you wanted a SCab with 6.5' bed, which has about the same wheelbase as the Reg Cabs 8' bed, you can get ~Can$9000 off MSRP in Ontario right now. Here's one with over 2000# payload:

Too bad you were scared off the EcoB by the internet reports. Those problems are rare. Ford sells so many of these engines, compared to the Tundra's, something is bound to show up, but for very few people. Mine has been flawless. And it's an awesome tow motor, as you know, with all the low-end torque and hp.

Check out my mileage numbers below. The 2015s are even better according to the EPA.

Come to a Ford Forum and compare to the F150 and you won't get much sympathy. Not sure why someone would buy a Tundra based on all the comparisons and material available now for free on the internet and in the magazines. The F150 is selling at 10x the rate or something like that - there's a reason that's happening.

As a former tundra owner, and current F150 owner....I can say that the F150 to me would still be the better truck to buy if it were to cost twice as much.
The ford is so much better than the toyota its not really fair a comparison.
Its a bit like comparing a mustang to a unicycle.

Sounds like they switched the Logo decals from trucks. First person here claiming Tundra more truck than F150? Hmmmm.

What is the number 1 vehicle sold in the US this year? All these frivolous concerns coming from a 1990 F1...Go buy a Tundra. I can already see your future thread titles:

"What is the clicking noise I hear when I push the brake peddle in park?"
"What is a compact disc player?"
"Blue extended cab 2wd xlt center console build thread: I just installed floor mats"
"My fuel economy isn't very good when towing this big *** trailer"
"Can someone tell me what the capitol of Thailand is?"

Yes, the extra payload of the F150 due to the lighter body would have been nice. The Tundra will be marginal, but should be fine. Fifth wheels tend to load up neutral or even negative depending on where the fresh water tank is.
