If you're talking about TQ then yes....HP, no. But a blower will do that.

Actually if you check factory dynos, the L wins both categories. With the 35's the raptors on the dyno make aprrox 330-340 hp. Lightning is closer to 350.

While the torque numbers, are about 80 ft lbs in favor of the lightning.

The 5.4 was a great foundation and I love mine. If I want a dune buggy with a payload capacity of 800lbs I'll buy a 4wheeler and Buggy.

Not to mention max torque on the 6.2 is at 4500 rpm. I'd take the Eco with 420 at 2500 all day.

I agree here. I have had the same 4400 pound boat since 1992. Pulled it with a 86 F150 302, a 93 F150 302, a 2001 F250 7.3, a 08 f250 6.4 and now a 11 F150 5.0. Everyone one of these trucks pulled the hills of the Ozarks multiple times.

I'd say 25 all day and I would say they could try to target the big 3-0 but I could just be a fanboy heh

I think the 2015 3.5L ecoboost will be at least 25mpg highway already gets 23mpg. The 2.7l with stop & start I'm guessing 30 mpg highway

I'm guessing you are a little high with the 30 mpg. The start stop tech will have no impact on highway mpg. I'd say it'll be more like 26 mpg. The 2.7 and 3.5 will be in the same ball park but the 2.7 will be a little better performer.

But I guess I'm not taking the weight reduction into my thought process. I can't wait to see how they do.

28 MPG would be sweet as 28 MPG x 36 gallon tank = 1000+ mile range!

Nah if they do hit those kind of numbers they will likely drop the size of the tank. keep the weight down and you in that 300-400 MPT range.
