2015 F150 Engine Specs

Umm for a 3.5L engine to put out somewhere between 380 to 420 hp is pretty good to me.General Motors ancient pushrod engines are a thing of the past ,today's engines doesn't need to be huge when u can get the same horsepower from a smaller displacement engine Ford achieves that with the 3.5L instead of the 6.2L. Turbocharging a smaller engine is the future for full-size trucks now,so if you want a 6.2L that achieves 10 miles per gallon by all means have fun with your Chevy but if I could achieve towing somewhere between 10 to 12,000 pounds while getting good mpg on a smaller displacement engine with the same or equal power as the competitors ill take the ford. Besides the third brake light issue and exploding rear slider window issue this current generation of Ford's is probably the best yet and I can't wait to see what the next-generation is going be like so have fun in your Chevy ,ill be in my turbo'd Ford

Today, I noted on the Ford.com website that when discussing the 2015 F-150 as a future truck available in late 2014, the narrative referred to the 2.7 engine as a "second generation engine". Where did the first generation 2.7 appear? Not in any Ford production vehicle that I'm aware of except the forthcoming 2015 Edge with the same 2.7 as the F-150. Sound like some license taken with semantics.

It probably refers back to the 3.5L as being first generation EB although they may have referred to other manufacturing ideas with racing prototypes. I have seen racing variants of this with big pre intake expansion chambers on them.

That's a likely explanation with respect to V6 engines...I wonder what generational identification Ford would place the new 2.3 EB four-pot in the 2015 Mustang?

Truthfully the chevy is making the most power and torque with a big 6.2 while making the same mpg as the ecoboost or close to it. Open your eyes dude and don't be so biased. I love ford, but at the same time gm and their 6.2 deserves respect. That's why I might make the switch

It falls flat on the big hills of NC. Just another big sic V8 when you tackle them.

Is there a certain altitude I should stop at because clearly the last comment must have been made while driving your Ecoboost in a low oxygen area.
