Is Roush available through a dealer to retain a powertrain warranty? Just curious.
Also, what kind of power can stock 5.0 internals handle? Is this pushing it?

We might be able work something out, if their kit is competitive. I'm sure the Whipple name wouldn't allow it not to be. Whipple saying they were developing a setup for the 5.0 is what held me back from the procharger, that and the lack of whine.

This is awesome news! Personally I am a huge fan of the whipple superchargers. Ive installed about half a dozen of them on raptors and man it makes those trucks come alive!! Would love to get one on my 5.0 truck!

I don't know if you were responding to me or not but my point was if the Roush has been making 560 or so with a crap tune for 2-3yrs on the current 5.0 then why is this announcement about making the same amount on the "new" 2015 motor big news?

Because it's a Whipple, people have been waiting and wanting a Whipple for the current 5.0 for years, and seems like they are trying to be on the ball with the new refresh. They are probably hoping the people who buy the brand new trucks are also the people who would shell out 8k for a quality supercharger. The 2015 release will be their biggest opportunity to sell a lot of the units. Although I would bet a bunch of money that the 2015 Whipple is the same as the 2014 Whipple, other than tune and maybe slightly different intake tube.

My point is....If I ever buy another Ford for myself, sure I'd love to put a SC on it. However I would buy a used truck for much less than a new one and then I could justify the expense of a SC. Paying $40k plus for a new truck plus the expense of the SC is NOT worth it. I know, I've been there and learned my lesson when I bought a brand new Roush 427R Mustang. Fun car but not worth the expense. Unless you're rich.....
