Default 2015 F150 5.0L Whipple Supercharger

Okay so this maybe a little early to promote Whipple's newest F150 supercharger, but we are excited. There are no power levels out yet, but it will be a 5.0L Whipple 2.9L supercharger. Just to give you guys an idea, whipple made 635HP on the 2.9L for the 6.2Ls. So maybe a high 500 number is likely. We will have this kit in black and polished. Should be able to ship these by January 2015.

I was expecting a big release for the 2011-2014 5.0 but I never saw a thing about it being released. In fact I was considering contacting you guys if you wanted a test truck for the whipple. Then it was released with no excitement, and the $7,500 price tag... might just have to go with Roush for my 2013 to get that whine.

Glad to see whipple is on the ball with the 2015 though.

Ill bet Whipple goes back and makes one for the 11-14 5.0L. The biggest difference between the Whipple and roush is that Roush will probably stay with the 2.3L and the Whipple is a 2.9L. That was the big difference in the raptor kits.

I think you as a supplier of whipple not knowing the 2011-2014 kit was released over month ago proves my point of them not making a big deal about releasing it.

Yep, didn't even get an email about it.

Just talked to Whipple about it and they don't have a part number and it is not shipping for a couple months. Probably why they didn't start taking orders.

So....we could still do an install video on your truck when they come out...

I assume they knew they were way more expensive than the other options out there, that already have a strong following, and just starting fresh with the 2015.

$1500 more than the other kits available (procharger, Roush, vmp tuned roush) was more than I could chew.

A Roush "kit" is 6,000? Where are you getting that price?

Thx.

I see Roush at 6650.00 + 100.00 for the PCM tuning for a 2.3L, so I dont think Whipple is completely out of the ball park for a 2.9L at 7500.00. Also on the 2014 Roush requires a FEAD system for 349.00. I think with the forum discount we could get the whipple right in the same ball park.
