Talking 2015 Eco boost VS 2013

So tonight i took home a 2015 F-150 Lariat 4x4 with the eco-boost to check it out and see how the new quad beams work at night. I have a 2013 FX4 ECO with the protectors and wanted to see the difference. I was thinking of ordering a new Lariat with the FX4 loaded package.

One thing i noticed right off the bat was the power seems way higher and the exhaust tones are wicked.....Now am i tripping out or has others noticed this.
I did have it in the sport mode and out. But i like the new exhaust sounds, sounded like a v8 rumble.....i actually thought they gave me a 5.0 to test.

Anyways i love the new goodies.....I'll see what the new head lights are like once it gets dark. So far i must say----F**K i like this body style.

The sound that you're hearing is fake v8 noise coming through the speakers. It's a new feature for this year. To me it sounds good and I can still hear the turbos spooling over it. Some people have a problem with it.

Sounds like if you are not on this forum, regular buyers will like it, and most 3.5 owners will not know or care.

The OP didn't.

I went from a 2013 Plat 4x2 to a 2015 4x4.....LOVE the 2015 for sure....did you slip the tranny into sport mode??...now THAT is wicked!! I have two vintage 'Vette converts so if I need a V8 rumble fix, I climb into them...otherwise my new baby does fine....once the cooling seat backs are fixed....LOL

I traded a 13 Lariat 4x4 eco for my currant 15. The seat of the pants dyno feels like it has more power, love the headlights, a bit better mpg's, 502A package is great and really love the adaptive cruise controll.

I think I'm going to wait another year to get the 2016. I do think the HID protector lights on my 2013 are brighter on high beams.

I sure do lobe the Sport mode...great response to throttle, And great exhaust tone.

All in all its a great truck, its way smoother on the highway and on ruff stuff also.

I'll get the FX4 Lariat with 502A package id think....but don't think id get the $1750 sunroof....just don't use it enough to justify that cost...plus not a fan of it at highway speeds, buffering sucks.
