So really there's no reason for me to post my story but I liked my truck so much I searched online to see what other owners didn't like last week and came across this forum only to read about the warped dashboard I have a 2015 xlt 4x4 sport got it August 28th. So after reading this I looked at my dash and sure enough warped on both sides of the tray on the dash called Danvers ford in Danvers Massachusetts where I got the vehicle and got told to bring it in for pictures today after work. Of course they said they hadn't seen this problem yet there but I looked through the lot and all xlts and lariats with plastic dash had this problem and I told them one of the mechanics said if it was designed right they would of put a clip in that spot and claimed it must of been from turning on the defrost. I haven't even used the defrost yet because it's been fairly warm here iv had the truck just over a month. Anyway waiting for ford to call the dealer back with a plan. Just wondering for those who have switched out the dash how did it come out and for the ones that had those plastic pieces replaced instead of the dash how did that come out? Any pictures?

The dealers acting like they haven't seen this problem is what bugs me the most. When I can walk on to your lot and spot 4 or 5 right away tells me you're lying. FORD needs to just release a TSB that way it could possibly speed up these repairs.

Sounds like Ford needs to redesign the dash.

Exactly. I wonder exactly how many complaints it takes to make something a recall. Either way it needs to happen soon because I don't want to rip out my dash and have it happen again and have them pull it out a second time

Don't recalls need to be safety related? Not sure this would rise to that level

Just noticed my XLT with 1,500 miles that the dash is warped in the center. Looks like it could get a lost worse over time. I am going to wait and see if they ever fess up about the problem and come up with a permanent fix. I have also noticed some of the plastic trim pieces scratch very easily and my headliner has also come loose and I had to snap it back in place after the first few hundred miles. Very disappointed in the build quality of this truck so far. It seems they really went cheap on the interior components. Expected better quality for 44 grand. Very skeptical about what the long term reliability will be.

I would still report it asap. Yeah I was highly disappointed too with Ford quality. I noticed warp within 2 weeks of ownership. Smh.

Just checked mine. So far so good and my truck is always parked outside. Mine was built in June 15, maybe they got a little better later into the model year.

I had my truck in for alignment yesterday after adding a front lift. I had the dealer check out the warped dash. It was the first case they have seen. They said it was obviously defective but had no idea what parts where needed to fix it. They took pics and said they will get back with me when they figure out what they need to fix it. Being curious on the way out I checked the other trucks on the lot. Out of the 15 to 20 trucks 2 of them had the warped dash in the exact same spot as mine. Whether it was coincidence or not the 2 trucks were both XLTs in Blue Jean color. Same as mine.
