2015 Bronco

Proudly Rockin the XL!
Ah, it's "fun" to debate over, but a new Bronco is not gonna happen. The linked website is 100% fabricated BS...As others have referenced, the pics are TEN years old; if you read the "article", you can tell by the horrible grammar that it's clearly a foreign rumor mill trying to drum up advertising dollars.

Only thing I can see happening is in the future they do come out with a new bronco but it would look absolutely nothing like the original. Small to medium size crossover that's just named bronco. Sort of like what dodge did with the charger and dart.

There's no place for it in the line up. About the only thing they could do is offer a 2 door Expedition and call it a Bronco. But there's very little place in lineups for 2 door trucks. The sell for big trucks is making them family friendly.

Anyway, Google is your friend.

You would think that they would have at least a concept version at the Detroit Auto show, no?

My view:
At the moment, there isn't room for it.
You have the Expedition, Edge, Explorer, Escape, and Flex in the SUV/Crossover category. Maybe if they scrapped the Flex, which is one vehicle they make that I don't like. I don't think it sells all that great (at least around here I don't see many of them).
I think there'd be a market for them. It wouldn't be huge like there is for the F-Series truck or the big selling cars like Fusion, but there'd be a market. I know quite a few guys that drive older Jeep Wranglers that are Ford guys that would buy a new Bronco if it were made with the offroad guys in mind like JEEP does with the Wrangler.

Look, in these days and times Ford does things THEIR way. They don't take much input from customers, rather they give you what they want to build. So you get what they want you to have. People still lap it up like lemmings.
The Lightning was a hit, but Ford decided, Eh, we are done with muscle trucks. So lets build an off road SVT truck...guess what, people lapped it up. Same goes with EB, Ford decided that was the direction they want to go, with a little help with some less then honest marketing they've now sold half a million of them. Even though people want strong, efficient V8s, but they are sticking to their guns and doubling down on EB.
So it doesn't matter how strong the focus group and public demand might be for a new Bronco, it ain't never, ever, ever going to happen. Ford deems it so.

I would love to have a Bronco. The Tahoe/Yukon seem to be very popular and command a price premium, but perhaps a 2 door full size SUV has limited appeal. Maybe the new CEO at Ford will take the company in a new direction.
