Well, I moved here from Texas so it is very hilly here in comparison. LOL. My previous truck had the 5.0 and my mileage dropped 3 mpg's when I moved here.

I guess my LT load range E all terrain tires kill it on the highway. They are stock size but 14 lbs heavier each. It does drive way way better on them, so oh well.
The tires aren't hurting it as bad as driving 75mph. Try one trip at 65mph as see if you break 20 mpg

ya i find over the long haul, driving over 63 mph kills your MPG, I think thats about when everything spools up fully..on 3.5 anyways

I'd just about get run over trying to drive that slow.

The speed limit is 65 70 or 75 depending on the highway. Most do 10 over so 75 to 85 is normal speed. I get passed while I'm doing 80-85 often by drivers doing 100.

I'm not really worried about 2 or 3 mpg. I just wanted to share what mine was.

5.0, 3.31 gears, Screw, 6" lift, sitting on 35x12.5 tires on 20s, mix of highway and city, I have a heavy foot. I get a pretty consistent 18mpg. I did have one trip where I was eastbound for about 600 miles I got 21mpg, but that isn't the norm. I have 10,000 miles on the truck now and just got my first oil change.

Bought my truck 11/6 with 5 miles on it. I have 1,575 today - probably 80% Interstate miles running at 70mph (90mi round trip commute for work). Averaging 18.3 MPG in 6 fill-ups. 2.7EB, 3.55 gears, 4x4, XL Scab. The trip computer is consistently off (low) by 2 gal every fill up, so the MPG computed by the truck is a bit off...

Mine is getting worse. I got 15.7 mpg on 70% highway 30% city. Highway speed was 70 to 90 mph and heavy on gas. When I did babysit my truck I got 19.2 one time (90% highway & 10% city).

I have 6900 mileage with no oil change yet and using regular 87 Octane. No info yet in the screen for me to do oil change.

Is the oil change interval also affect the mpg?

79 octane??? Change the oil and go to 87 at least, she'll run even better on premium.
