3.5 Ecoboost King Ranch 2" lift and 285/65/20 KO2's installed since delivery. Averaging 10.1 MPG mostly city driving, pretty shocked. Wondering if I need to take it back to the dealer and have them take a look.

10.1 MPG is pretty bad. I have a 3.5 EB, 4x4, 3.55, stock sport wheels/tires, and I'm getting 16+ MPG over the last 3k miles. Mixture of highway (20 MPG), city (17-18 MPG) and towing a 3k pound trailer (15 MPG for 900 miles).

Not sure what the dealer will do, but doesn't hurt.

3.5L TT Screw 3.31 rear end and 275/65/18 Duratracs- 16.1 only calculated with the Fuelly App. Made some significant changes. 3.5 L TT Screw 3.55. Rear end 285/65/20 Duratracs-14.4 again only calculated using Fuelly App (I was Leveled before the rear end, tire and wheel change) edit: 285/60/20 Duratracs now

Default Which is best

Which is best for gas mileage? Running in normal mode or tow/hall or sport mode? I would think normal probably is but I haven't had the truck long enough to test. I have the 3.5 EB.

Just got back from my first road trip with truck listed in my signature. Approximately 750 miles, 600 highway driving at 71-75 mph and about 150 mixed city driving. Overall average of 19.4 mpg on on dash and hand calculated at 18.3. I just went over 1,000 miles. So far I'm pretty happy with that.

full disclosure: I dont have a 2015. I have no idea what difference sport mode makes but chances are it probably doesnt help mpg's.

on the highway if I am using the cruise control, I will turn on tow/haul because it will delay the downshift on hills etc. so it stays in high gear longer and it also keeps the torque converter locked up longer as well. it seems to have helped on my mileage on highway trips so I dont see why it wouldnt do the same on the newer trucks.
around town I would say leave it in normal because tow/haul delays upshifting so youre gonna hitting higher RPM before the shift and thus be using more fuel.
