How many of you guys are out there?

Has 5* made revisions that fix you?

Looks like the Tunes from 5* for the 2015+ are newer and wondering if they might need to work on them more or if they have them right. looking at stage 3's web site they even are getting lower then 5* claims (says do to heat in their area)

Want to buy the tunes but dont want to pay for lower quality products...
My tunes from them suck. I know 5 star was known for conservative tunes just wanted what they advertised. I given them 9 revisions to fix the problem multiple datalogs dyno sheets and they couldn't. Then when the couldn't fix it they started blaming my truck. They also said nobody is complains about there tunes.

This is when I get pissed. Like going to the dealer with something not working right to the point there's a TSB and they still tell you they are/it is working "as designed." BS

I think the reason the Eco guys are experiencing more pronounced issues are due to the higher hp/tq gains they make above the 5.0.

65hp
105tq
Was told by Jacob(Mikes right hand man) that these trucks make more than that consistently.
That's why they left it at 65-105. He said his trucks which is similar as mine in every way made +70 and + 110 all the time.

My problem with those claimed numbers is its their own numbers. When I loaded the tune and drove it I knew no way was it making that amount of power. That's why I payed out of pocket for my own dyno.

What I would like to do is get a number count of how many Eco or 5.0 that are unhappy.
And how many went to another company and was happy.
If we could do this then maybe I can get stage 3 to offer different companies tunes.

I've already pitched this and tried to get them to look at mpt. They said there wasn't enough people complaining to justify looking elsewhere.

I also will say this if you look at the afr of the canned bs the custom tune there is a difference. Now I know this is after the cats so don't know how accurate it is. The sct defiently runs leaner longer the through the rpm range.

Just to put in my 2 cent (I got in on the group buy), I'm not unhappy necessarily with the results, but certainly expected more mid and top end. The boost seems to build faster/sooner on the 91p but falls on it's face half way through the rpm range. I'm only seeing peak pressure of 15.5 psi which is 2 psi higher than stock.

Also to note, the 5-4 hard downshift is still there (never went to ford and figured the tune would resolve it) AND it now has a hard 2-1 downshift.

Rather than dealing with 5Star (I feel like it's too far off from what I expected) I think I'll spend the coin ($150) for an MPT tune.

It looks like 5Star has a 20% restocking fee so I'm out $80 no matter what even though I'm not satisfied with the product.

...alright, I guess I'm unhappy. I even sprung for the 5 tunes.

I found the same fall on your face results as you did. I couldn't even pass my buddies 2015 lifted gmc crewcab 4wd on the freeway. Stock I would blow him out of the water. If you look at the 1st tuned run you will see after 3500 the truck fell flat and Hp/tq fell off quick.

I agree the problem I have is now I spent around 1100 bucks for the tunes the warranty and the dynos and the tunes suck. I've proven they suck. I can return all my stuff for a refund but then stuck with a truck that's been flashed 25 times now. With the chance my factory warranty will be voided. I only went with the tune because of the warranty they provided now I will have none. No tune no warranty and no factory warranty. I got screwed all the way around.
My choices are keep the junk tunes or return everything and have no warranty. The more I type this stuff the more pissed I get.

I've waited 4 months to get this worked out with the gentlemen agreement with stage 3 to not say anything till it's resolved. When they told me 5 star said I needed a new pcm I flipped out.

In my own opinion 5 star is the crappiest company I've dealt with. If I can save 1 person from wasting there money I will.

What scares me is the difference in afr from the canned and the 5 star tune.
And the overall crappy performance of the 5 star tune.
