Default 2016 recall, manual drivers seat

https://www.trucks.com/2016/07/11/fo...cks-suvs-f150/

Claims it affects ~5000 2016 trucks. Evidently with manual recline seats only. Only mentions 2016's not 2015's. Weld QC issue....

In typical fashion, picture in article is of a Limited and not the trucks that would have this issue.

I have now filed three complaints with the NTSB re: Adaptive Cruise. My truck has been in the dealership on 4 occasions for a total of 33 days. Once before the recall, 3 times after. Still not fixed. Dealership is willing to try again, but without a different "fix" I see no point. Have also filed a claim with the BBB. Seeing a "buyback" from Ford. That isn't really what I expect, or even want, but thought it might get some action.

I agree with others in the thread, the more people we can get to make noise the better. I have tried to capture video, but it is too intermittent. Never been lucky enough to make it happen while vid was running.

Default TSB 15-142: harsh 5-4 downshift - totally worth it.

My SCREW 3.5 eco with max tow really benefited from this TSB. In tow/haul or sport mode when towing my 6000 trailer, I thought I was going to leave the transmission on the street. Slammed down so hard that the engine would stumble. Got the TSB done - totally cured. On flat ground it will pull the trailer in 6th with the cruise control set at 70. On freeway 5% grades it will downshift to 4th and just keep truckin'

Update on 9 month issue on fixing the Glove Box on my 2016 F150 Pt. They have tried a few times to just replace the door and use the Ford supplied "kit". Each time no joy and after 2 formal open Ford CS complaints after Dealer did not found not fix it ... Ford CS told me to revisit the Dealer and have them take Photos and resubmit for Ford Review. After many calls, email and dealer visits ... I have wasted many hours and $$ in gas and effort ... Sad Ford is not world class with respect to handling customer warrantee complaints ...

Unhappy A 2015 and 2016 truck in less than 6 months Help

I had a 2015 F150 5.0 Lariat that started with the tow option turning on then it moved to a grinding noise during a down shift from 5th th 3rd. The trans was rebuilt three times with no fix. The dealership bought the truck back and now I have a 2016 with the exact same specs as the 2015 that has the same symptoms and appears to be getting worse.

2016 has 2300 miles on it. The 2015 starting showing signs at about 10000 miles.

The 2015 had U Codes. The 2016 has not been checked out yet.

I had a issue the other day my 2016 5.0, put it in reverse and just tacked out and wouldn't move, put in neutral tried reverse again still nothing then reved out again then finally kicked in reverse HARD, engine fan came on loud and wrench flashed, by the time I parked the light was off and acted normal.

Default F150 multiple fails to engage reverse, then redlines engine

I had the exact same problem this last summer, only I had a loaded double jet ski trailer on the truck at the time, and my truck was tail towards a lake (in a parking lot along the edge of lake, not at the boat ramp).

The truck failed to engage reverse twice, but on the third attempt, immediately upon selecting reverse, the computer red-lined the engine. I smashed the brake hard and put it in park as fast as I could. I caught this with car DVR recordings (I have multiple) with clear views of the dashboard indicating in reverse and the engine RPMs, along with front and rear view cameras showing the truck did not engage reverse the first two attempts (indicator showed reverse, transmission did not engage).

I have a 2015 F150 3.5EB. Apparently I see this problem is not limited to the ecoboost, nor the year 2015 models.

I told a local Ford dealer about the problem and at first they acted like I was insane (I think someone here put the look as "like I had a ***** growing out of my forehead"). I told them I had video recordings of the failure, and they could not care less. They had -no- interest in working on this problem and told me "if it is currently working, and no code, then it is not a problem they can fix".

Good luck with your dealer.

Personally, I have had way too many problems with this truck for me to give 2 F#cks about this problem. I'll just report it when it happens. Ford Motor Company has taught me very well that they do not care about hearing problems of the F150, and care less to do things to fix those problems. In the mean time, I keep my recordings of the various safety issues of this vehicle.

It should have then tossed a code for a bad solenoid in the trans so have it replaced your electric shift and when it doesn't shift and lights a light.
