Note the 0-60 in 23 seconds for the EcoD while towing. That is awful, and it took over a 1/4 mile, prolly another 1/4 mile to hit 70. Not cool. Neither is 8.8 to 60 unloaded, that's economy car "performance", passing times were equally terrible. And for what? more money, less payload, and higher cost per mile when maintenance is included.

Quite literally that is what an automatic transmissioned big rig will do acceleration-wise. Not cool. The 2.7 is a home run here, lower cost per mile, and grand slam home run performance.

Lol. You guys trip me out. You know what other awful towing truck has a 1 second faster 0-60 at 8.0 seconds vs 8.9 on the ecodiesel? The 2013 f350 6.7 powerstroke joke of a towing truck....... These are both unloaded numbers from trucktrend.
Just awful......
Just awful......

Guys like myself who have to have a truck for work care about gas mileage. With the amount of mileage I drive each year for work and what I get reimbursed per mile each MPG I gain is about $900 per year in my pocket instead of in the tank of my truck! Fuel mileage is a big deal to me and for anyone who cares about the amount of money in their bank account! I'm not trying to start anything it just annoys me when someone says who cares about fuel mileage when for a lot of us it's a huge factor in purchasing a truck. Who doesn't want more money to stay in the bank and shell out less at the pump.

So you are using the slowest cherry picked unloaded numbers to compare how capable 2 vehicles are? What a joke that is. The real numbers are the loaded and towing numbers...... Otherwise, the $53000 truck accelerates similar to any economy car under $15K, what a great deal!

Do you REALLY care about mileage? Or cost per mile?
