You don't need to run the tires at Max PSI. Run them at what it says in the sticker in the driver's door.

On a side note, the mechanic at the dealer I work at put the tire pressure at 35 PSI and the max for these tires is 80PSI. Should I increase the pressure from 35?
I would bump that up to 40 ish. I run between 40-45 in my Duratracs.

That does sound high. But city driving will kill mileage. Your driving style, how often you stop and go etc. make a big difference. Plus your truck isn't broken in yet. Last tank I decided to hit the reset button in town and drive it hard for a few days. Averaged around 14L on 33's. I have over 2000km.

3.55. crew cab. 4x4. On the way down my average was 28 on the highway. Doing 65, the wife had to pump her ***** so I went 5 under to give her a little more time, and I had about 11 miles at 55.

Just had the first oil change. Here are the numbers for our truck. Mostly highway (interstate & construction) about 70% of the mileage. Have towed 3800 lbs boat & some rock hauling... both local.
Average speed : 41.8 mph

At the first Oil change F150 XLT 4X4 Super Cab, 2.7 Liter, Equipt Group 301A 265/70R 17 OWL All Terrain GoodYear 3:55 Ratio Regular Axle Tailgate & Side Step . Ford Bed Mat & Rear Wheel Well Liners purchased from Dealer to avoid Package Upgrade at time of ordering. Weather Tech Floor mats.

This is from my oil change today. 22.3, not bad. I'm starting to believe the truck mpg calculator is more accurate than the pump. I have used the same pump, and have had the truck and "by hand" method match. Yet when I have used different pumps I can be anywhere between 2 or 3 mpg off. What tip me off to this is that last full up the truck was at the same mpg as I was the mpg before that, yet when I logged it on fulley the mpg wasn't the same amount off. If that makes sense.

Ha, what are the chances. You actually managed to snap the picture at the exact moment that the last digit on your time was changing from 3 to 4 and you can actually see both numbers.
